2012 August Forum Recess

Dear members,

From August 1st until September 1st, ArtisanShaving will be closed. All threads and posts will be read-only during this period.
This "vacation" is an inherited tradition from one of our preceding forums, the "Cafeteria" of Coticule.be. It's a tradition that many over there found refreshing and beneficial for the forum atmosphere.

It is a prime concern of the Associates of ArtisanShaving that a friendly and sincere atmosphere rules on our forum, where members can assist and support each other. While our small community is mostly self-supporting, the Associates, helped by our team of Advisors, do see to it that no questions remain unanswered, no problems unattended.
Combined with daily small moderation tasks, keeping the software up to date, the never ending war on Spam, behind the scenes conversations with members, etcetera, running this forum is a demanding task. By taking a month's leave, we hope that our Associates and Advisors- and their house mates - can catch a bit of fresh air.

Furthermore, we hope to keep our forum free from a navel-gazing mentality that lures just around the corner on every Internet forum, by kicking everyone out for the duration of a month.

During this month we warmly recommend to take this opportunity to explore new horizons.
Shake loose all obsesses and compulsive tendencies! Build a boat and go fishing! Grow a beard! Take your children to the zoo! Cook a candlelight dinner for the wife! Teach your dog a new trick!
And put those sharpening stones away. They deserve a break too.
